P.J. Lhuillier, Incorporated (PJLI), the mother company of Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop and other affiliate brands, bagged several awards at The Philippine Quill Awards 2013, held recently at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, for its external and internal communication campaigns.
PJLI won Awards of Merit for the “2012 Search for the Happiest Pinoy” for advocacy communications and special events-external. The campaign’s goal is to find the individual that exhibits happiness in the midst of trials—having an optimistic outlook in life, a cheerful disposition, a proven ability to rise above life’s challenges, and a positive impact in the lives of others.
The company also received an Award for Excellence for its “Quest to Be the Best” Vision Launch for special events-internal. The activity, launched through a series of events held in six key cities in the Philippines, sought to cascade the company’s new vision among the employees—to be the best and preferred microfinancial and business-to-business solutions partner—and immerse the employees in the company’s “Be The Best” campaign, which promotes excellence amongst the company’s employees and management.

The Philippine Quill Awards, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), recognizes the best business communications covering communication research management, communication management, communication skills, and communication training and education across various categories.
