Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation

In pursuit of the P.J. Lhuillier Group of Companies’ corporate value of social responsibility, Jean Henri D. Lhuillier, President and CEO of the P.J. Lhuillier Group of Companies (PJLGC), directed the establishment of the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI).
Since its incorporation as a non-profit organization in 2000, it has imparted blessings and empowered the less fortunate by serving as the corporate vehicle of the PJLGC and of the family of Ambassador and Mrs. Philippe J. Lhuillier for giving back to the community.
Cebuana Lhuillier Alternative Learning System
In pursuit of the advocacy of Cebuana Lhuillier’s President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier, whose philosophy is “Always Love Schooling”, which highlights the “Continuous Pursuit of Education”, the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) implemented the Alternative Learning System (ALS), along with three other initiatives that emphasize the value of education — Nationwide Scholarship Program, Spiritual and Social Enhancement Program, and Special Projects on Education.
Established in 2013 with the Department of Education, the ALS provides Academic, Livelihood, Spiritual and Social Education to former out-of-school youth and adults in the elementary and secondary levels.

Cebuana Lhuillier Sports
Cebuana Lhuillier’s sports advocacy began with its President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier’s desire to boost sports development and awareness in the country. A sports enthusiast since his youth, Jean Henri recognizes the role of sports in nurturing life and leadership skills that ultimately contribute to nation-building.
As early as 2002, Cebuana Lhuillier has been supporting sports events and tournaments for softball, tennis, and basketball, among others. From Cebuana’s notable brood of athletes emerged a number of sports luminaries that have made their mark in their respective sports. These include world-class doubles champion Treat Huey, SEA Games softball champion members of the RP Blu Boys and Girls, and Metropolitan Basketball Association legends Cebu Gems.
Happiest Pinoy
The Search for the Happiest Pinoy is a nationwide campaign of Cebuana Lhuillier that aims to promote the values of optimism, resilience, and positive impact in Filipinos amidst different life crises.

Disaster Resilience
Cebuana Lhuillier’s annual Disaster Resilience Forum aims to continue the ongoing discussions on various multi-sectors’ initiatives and efforts in building disaster resilient communities.
With the support of the Insurance Commission of the Philippines and
GIZ, the company helps prepare Filipinos for imminent dangers, such as natural disasters, by spreading information in order to minimize, if not completely avoid, damages and loss of lives in the event of calamities.
