CLFI joins Kapihan sa LCF

CLFI Kapihan (1)

Last August 18, the League of Corporate Foundation (LCF) organized a one-hour coffee chat dubbed as “Kapihan sa LCF” in collaboration with Makati Business Club & Integrity initiative. The activity focused on how to inspire, motivate, and challenge CSR practitioners on the value of operating a company with the highest integrity and business ethics and nurturing the career path of colleagues towards responsible business.

Mark L. Yu, President of Sea Oil Foundation, Inc., shared his experience on how to strengthen and reinforce “Integrity in the Workplace.” Sea Oil is one of the active signatories of the Integrity Pledge of Integrity Initiative, a formal and concrete expression of commitment of companies to abide by ethical business practices and to support the national campaign against corruption.

This is the third time CLFI participated in this fruitful session. CLFI is an active member of the League of Corporate Foundation under its Education Committee.

CLIS is now ISO Certified

IMG_0009

Re-affirming its commitment to quality products and services, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions (CLIS) has successfully obtained its ISO 9001:2008 certification last July 2015, following a series of enhancements that spanned almost nine months. This period saw CLIS rigorously evaluating, training, and improving its quality management systems, which proved to be worthwhile as after two audits by a United States-based accredited organization that provides accredited management system certification, it was finally conferred an ISO certification.

Being an ISO certified company means that the business has established an effective framework which adopts global quality standards. These enhancements are expected to cause a positive impact in the company’s operations as CLIS continues to offer quality, affordable and easy-to-understand insurance products and services to the satisfaction of its customers.

This milestone sets CLIS as the first and only insurance agency in the Philippines to have such achievement. This feat also made CLIS the second company within the PJLI Group to obtain ISO certification.

Present during the ISO Certification Awarding Rites held at the San Marino office last September 1 were Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier, President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier, CLIS Vice President Leo K. Escaño, CLIS General Manager Jonathan D. Batangan, Mancom members, Luzon Regional Managers, Division Managers, BRS Representatives and CLIS Managers and Supervisors.

CLFI supports nationwide school electrification

CLFI electricity

Pasig City – Last July 31, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) attended the formal launch of LightEd PH, the Department of Education’s (DepEd) campaign to provide schools with electrification, at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan within the DepEd complex.

“LightEd PH aims to provide schools with electricity through conventional means for on-grid schools and alternative energy sources such as solar generator sets and solar panels for off-grid schools as a stand-alone and self-sustaining technology system,” said DepEd Usec. Mario Deriquito.

Present in the event were DepEd Sec. Armin Luistro, CLFI Executive Trustee Atty. Cesar Vidal, Program Manager-OIC Kristina Muñiz, school electrification partners, and selected students from Pinagsabiran Elementary School in Tanay, Rizal.

A sub-campaign called “One Child, One Lamp” was also launched to raise funds for solar lamps to be distributed to students in off-grid public schools.

Last 2012, CLFI also donated 50 solar-powered lamps to families and children who cannot study at home due to unavailability of electricity in Brgy. Talungon in Bais City, Negros Oriental.
