Cebuana Lhuillier helped bring cheers and smiles to Dabaweños in the fourth leg of Juan Fun Day mall series of ABS-CBN’s top-rating superhero show, Juan Dela Cruz at Abreeza Mall in Davao on June 16.

Juan Fun Day is the program’s way of thanking its fans for their continuous support. The series kicked off at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City on May 19, followed by the leg in Market! Market!,Taguig City and the leg in Ayala Center Cebu before coming to Davao.

Thousands of fans flocked the venue to meet and greet the all-star cast of “Juan Dela Cruz,” top billed by Cebuana’s newest brand ambassador Coco Martin. The loyal supporters of the program were treated to a variety show and various game portions.

As a co-presenter of the event, Cebuana Lhuillier facilitated the Letra Swerte game where fourteen audience members received free Cebuana Lhuillier shirts. The seven winners of the game brought home My Cebuana phones and other Cebuana Lhuillier freebies.

Aside from the games, the new Cebuana Lhuillier commercials were repeatedly shown. Cebuana’s rolls up banners were likewise positioned in key areas of the venue to increase brand awareness among the guests and to boost their knowledge of Cebuana Lhuillier’s vast range of products and services.

Aside from Coco Martin, young Juan Dela Cruz Izzy Canillo graced the event while rapper and You Tube sensation Abra delivered a special performance.

Coco Martin expressed his appreciation to his Cebuana Lhuillier family represented by operations and support personnel from Region 5. He is grateful for Cebuana Lhuillier’s support and would like to return the favor by visiting some of CLP’s branches in the future.

Cebuana Lhuillier supports Brigada Eskwela 2013

Believing that education is the most important brick in building a successful future, Cebuana Lhuillier joined hand-in-hand with teachers and community members for the rehabilitation of public schools in Visayas and Mindanao through Brigada Eskwela 2013 from May 20 to 24.

Since its foundation in 2003, Brigada Eskwela has become a tool for community development and nation building as it congregates teachers, parents and community members to repair facilities and clean public schools, preparing the school for the opening of classes.

“The Brigada is the longest manifestation of people power in the Philippines,” said Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Br. Armin Luistro, FSC, adding that the ordinary citizens’ participation in the event is proof that heroes still abound in the country. Now on its 10th year, Brigada Eskwela continues to touch hearts and transform lives with the theme Isang Dekada ng Bayanihan sa Paaralan.

Both Cebuana Lhuillier and DepEd believe that through Brigada Eskwela, they are constructing a foundation for a brighter future for the Filipino youth.  Cebuana Lhuillier has long been in the mission of reaching out to the less-fortunate but deserving students by giving them scholarship grants through its Corporate Social Responsibility corps, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc.

Headed by Area Operations Managers and volunteers from the Region 5 Office, nine elementary schools in Mindanao were repaired and cleaned. Likewise, Area 412 personnel devoted their time for the rehabilitation of two public schools in Negros Occidental. Volunteers painted classrooms, repaired furniture and cleaned the school grounds.

Construction tools and other school materials were likewise donated by Cebuana Lhuillier to help the schools rebuild a convenient and conducive environment for the students. A Certificate of Recognition was given to Cebuana Lhuillier as school teachers and parents expressed their gratitude to the volunteers who spent time to help out in the activity.

Volunteers from Cebuana Lhuillier consider the activity as a way of strengthening the spirit of modern-day bayanihan among Filipinos. Likewise, they find it indicative of Cebuana Lhuillier’s willingness to help people in need.
