January 20, 2012 – Cebuana Lhuillier and Banana Peel sealed its partnership in a MOA signing held at the PJ Lhuillier head office. This partnership will enable clients to pay for their purchases from the Banana Peel online store at any of Cebuana Lhuillier’s over 1,500 branches nationwide. 24k cardholders may also convert their points to cash coupons which they can use to purchase flip-flops and accessories from Banana Peel’s 24 branches nationwide.

January 12, 2012 – The world’s leading customer service institute, Customer Service Institute of America (CSIA), awarded Cebuana Lhuillier the coveted International Service Excellence Award for Highly Commended Large Business Category.

“Cebuana Lhuillier has shown admirable consistency in client relations” said Christine Churchill, Executive Director and Founder of CSIA, who also commended the company’s initiatives and efforts to bring customer service to a whole new level.

PJLFI’s Christmas Outreach at the PGH Cancer Ward

December 22, 2011 – PJ Lhuillier Foundation Incorporated celebrated their annual Christmas outreach at the Cancer Ward of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). The event was filled with smiles and gifts as 17 volunteer employees from PJLI took time and participated in the gift giving activity lead by the PJLFI team.

A total of 52 patients housed in PGH’s Cancer Ward received noche buena baskets while the young patients received toys handed out by PJLFI Executive Trustee Atty. Cesar Vidal and CLIS General Manager Jonathan Batangan.

As required by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), clients who engage in a financial transaction with covered institutions for the first time shall be required to present the original and submit a clear copy of at least ONE (1) valid photo-bearing identification document issued by an official authority. For our clients’ convenience, Cebuana no longer requires submission of the photocopied ID. IDs are captured using a webcam in all branches. Clients are also required to submit an updated photo and other relevant information whenever the need for it arises.
