December 5, 2011 – 26th Southeast Asian Games gold medalists, RP Blu Boys and Girls paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Philippe Jones Lhuillier, PJ Lhuillier, Inc. (PJLI) chairman of the board, and Jean Henri Lhuillier, Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines president and PJLI president and CEO.
The Women’s team bagged the gold medal after beating Thailand in a 6-0 score while the Men’s team also brought home a gold medal after defeating Indonesia in a 7-3 score.
The Philippines got a total of 36 gold, 56 silver, and 77 bronze medals in the recently concluded SEA Games in Indonesia.
Jean Henri Lhuillier awarded the best players and the best coaches of the team. In his message to the team, he shared his plans to further develop and promote softball in the country. In softball, Philippines is currently ranked 10th in world.
December 4, 2011– Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of PJ Lhuillier, Inc., received the Pawnbroker of the Year award from the Chamber of Pawnbrokers of the Philippines, Inc. (CPPI). He was awarded for his exemplary achievements in the pawnbrokering industry. The awarding was held in CPPI’s National Convention and Election.
Jean Henri Lhuillier is the son of Ambassador Philippe Jones Lhuillier who founded Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop 25 years ago.
