October 22, 2009 - Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions (CLIS) awarded an Alagang Cebuana Plus (ACP) claim check to Ms. Estefania R. Casa, resident of San Francisco Street, E. Aldana, Las Pinas City. Her house was burned when the plane owned by Victoria Asia Air Services Inc. crashed on October 18 at around 12:15 pm due to engine trouble.

Before the fire incident, Ms. Casa went to Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop to renew her pawned item and to purchase ACP insurance at around 9:00 am of October 18. Little did she know that the Php25 ACP insurance that she purchased only a few hours away from the unfortunate plane crash would be of help to her. Ms. Casa has been a customer of Cebuana since 1993. She is thankful to Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop and to Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions for processing her claim.

CLIS, through its partner Malayan Insurance, settled the claim within 24 hours.
