THE PHILIPPINES AT CENTER STAGE IN SAN REMO, ITALY

Seventeen  year old  Filipina international   singer, Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco, better known as Charice, placed the Philippines at centre stage   in San Remo,  Italy   during the Rai Uno Program, Ti Lascio Una Canzone (leavin' ou a song),  televised from Teatro Ariston.  Ti lascio una canzone  is a musical competition   among the famous italian pop songs   performed by talented young singers from italy's leading music schools. The singers are not competing with each other. for this year, i migliori anni della nostra vita  (the best years of our life) was unanimously chosen by the home audience and the jury.

Charice was one of the international guest singers during the season premiere last 4 April. by popular appeal, the highly applauded Charice was again invited to guest during the penultimate and the closing  programs.   Ambassador Lhuillier and his wife, Edna, together with some members of the Philippine embassy,  were special guests of the city of San Remo and Ballandi production, the show producer,  during the penultimate edition on 23 may. The nationwide television captured   the crowd’s enthusiasm   for the talented charice. during the closing program, charice debutted in Italy her single, Note to God.
